Overcoming Disobedience
My dear daughter, do you know what your disobedience has cost you? I speak not these things to you to condemn you but to expose the lies and hatred of the enemy over your life and to ultimately give you freedom for I died to give you life and life more abundantly. I have watched the times that you longed to do My will but have held back out of fear. I saw the days turn into years as you put off the quiet whispers that I was speaking to your heart. You assumed someone else would step up to the plate or do the things I was requiring of you but you didn’t realize that your disobedience wasn’t just a detriment to those that I was calling you to, but also to your own soul. I know these words can be hard to hear because you have a heart that wants to please Me but it is important to realize that faith without works is dead.
Don’t you know that I have called you to more than you could ever even realize? I am not holding these failures over your head in the way a judge pounds a gavel. Instead I am coming to you as a loving Father who sees the frailty of His child and sees past the disobedience as I uncover your hurt, fear, and tears. You were not called to do this journey alone and I will surely strengthen you to turn things around. Take a moment to sit in my presence, without condemnation, and list out the things that you know I have been impressing upon your heart to do. Remember that My burden is light and My yoke is easy. I will not put more on you than you can bear. Things only become overwhelming when you get burdened with the weight of perfectionism. A weight that was never sent to you from My kingdom. The enemy seeks to put weights on you that are too heavy for you to carry on your own but I am the God of the turn around! I make a way of escape when it looks that there is none. Take inventory of the things you have felt me calling you to and begin to make a plan of action. Not everything all at once, for it is your consistency that I see as faithfulness, not your perfection. Look to Me the Author and Finisher of your faith. Remember the amount of years it took me to prepare on earth for just a few years of ministry. Be patient with yourself and with your process. Everything is not going to happen overnight but by you staying stagnant you are making sure that nothing is happening! Today is the day to move forward full of faith and victory. I have already prepared the path before you and set a table for you in the midst of your enemies. Dust your feet off and choose to begin afresh! New are My mercies every morning over your life. I am giving you a fresh start today. Don’t focus on time lost or time wasted, simply look forward with expectancy to what is ahead. We are going to do mighty things together for My kingdom. Yes I could have got someone else to fulfill the assignment but I didn’t because I chose you and I want to do it with you. So let’s move forward, together.
About this note
Years ago I began writing prophetically the things that I felt God was speaking to my heart. It started out as love notes to friends and family, or simple text messages as I simply emptied myself and let the Holy Spirit flow through the words on the page. The Scripture / Word of God is the only true authority but we know that God will breathe upon us and anoint us to relay messages by His Spirit.
Years ago I woke up from a dream in the middle of the night. In the dream I had heard the Father speaking to me, “Write and tell My people that I love them. They need to know My heart and how much I love them.” It felt more like an assignment than a suggestion. I wanted to be obedient but never understood how it would come to pass until this season in my life. Be blessed as you allow the Father’s love to encounter and wash over you. I believe in our relationship it’s not just about receiving His love for us but also finding out what pleases His heart and walking in obedience to His desires. (John 15:14)
